Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations
  • Install, alter, repair, maintain various electrical systems and related equipment
  • Plan layout and illustration of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Cable pulling
  • Cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor

Job Requirements

Key Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Electrician
  • Five years of electrical repair and maintenance experience in an industrial setting
  • Knowledge of local, federal and mining electrical safety codes
  • Demonstrated skill in the installation, repair and maintenance of all types of electrical/instrumentation system equipment and components
  • Understanding and demonstrated application of safe work practices and safety regulations
  • Effective leadership, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
