The Property Analyst / Lease Administrator is responsible for the administration and resolution of leases and property specific issues. The ideal candidate will possess a business focused and hands on approach in business performance, key performance indicators, negotiation, property and lease analysis. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer company leases and resolve property specific issues
  • Provide financial, KPI, and ad hoc reporting
  • Directly contact and negotiate with property managers
  • Read and edit lease agreements to ensure they are consistent with company requirements
  • Prepare business case analysis to recommend new stores and strategic initiatives
  • Manage project schedules and critical paths for opening / relocation & closing stores
  • Manage pre-construction submissions of drawings and information to Landlords
  • Provide month-end & year-end oversight to retail accounting to ensure lease terms are correct
  • Manage critical dates for renewals and options to terminate
  • Communicate with landlords and other departments regarding repairs and maintenance
  • Identify, research, and implement cost savings measures
  • Lead the implementation of a new Lease Software System

Job Requirements

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years demonstrated property / lease administration and accounting experience
  • Demonstrated experience/ability to negotiate successfully
  • Strong understanding of lease and contract terms language
  • Seeks innovative ways to perform better, faster and more efficiently
  • Self-starter with proactive problem solving skills 
  • Professional accounting designation preferred (CA, CPA)
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (predominantly in Excel)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable in dealing with all levels of Senior Management as well as construction

 

Education: An undergraduate degree in with a concentration in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or Accounting or equivalent education and experience
