Job Summary: 

The Senior .COM Merchandiser will be assisting the .COM Manager in leading and supervising the .COM Team. The successful candidate will provide supervisory support in all day-to-day operations of the Nygård website. This position helps in all publishing associated with e-commerce product, and merchandising of the product online. The Senior .COM Merchandiser will see to it that brand expectations are met, resulting in a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage content on NYGARD.COM site including pictures, graphics, product descriptions, and other written and visual communications
  • Participate in the creation of key looks including creating outfits for each key look category, assigning key look names, and creating category descriptions
  • Post key looks, feature pages, advertisement bars, category advertisements, and style books on .COM site on a bi-weekly basis
  • Ensure all products are categorized appropriately online and verify each upload is successful
  • Ensure product and categories are fresh and assortments are well represented
  • Verify product names and descriptions are creative, technical, relevant and in-line with industry best practice
  • Participate in the development and implementation of innovative ideas to maximize online revenue and visitor engagement activities
  • Ensure the accuracy of site content
  • Work with Web & Graphics Designer in updating the look of the site to reflect seasonal campaigns
  • Managing the set-up of promotions

Job Requirements

Key Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in online planning or merchandising
  • Possesses solid experience in Content Management Systems
  • Ability to think out-of-the-box
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with team members and Executive Management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills with previous Management experience
  • Sound analytical ability coupled with creative problem solving skills
  • Creative and dynamic mindset with the desire to “make things happen”
  • Experience in Retail Marketing
  • Strong merchandising skills with retail apparel background
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word required
  • Working knowledge of PowerPoint required
  • Must be able to work effectively as a team player with various levels of the organization
  • Must be flexible and deadline oriented
  • Experience in Social Media is an asset

Education: Post-secondary education in Marketing or equivalent education and experience
