Nygård International, Canada’s leading fashion company that designs and markets women’s fashion apparel is seeking a qualified and motivated Social Media Coordinator to join our Marketing team. Key Responsibilities:

Social Marketing

  • Execute & manage the day-to-day social marketing activities across multiple channels to cost effectively grow customer awareness & customer acquisition via (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram & Blog)
  • Partner with marketing vendors such as Google, Bing and SEM agencies to strategize and grow the social channels
  • Develop content for the social marketing calendar to support sales goals
  • Monitor & improve key drivers influencing brand growth
  • Grow and optimize ad/post portfolios through testing with ad copy and bidding strategies
  • Work with all team functions to implement SEO recommendations such as: keyword research & specifications throughout website pages, site audits for SEO best practice compliance, link analysis & building
  • Stay current with new advances in social marketing, competitive landscape & research


  • Review and evaluate social analytics to gain strategic insights & develop recommendations to improve social account performance as it relates to specific traffic-driving efforts
  • Use Google analytics and other social tracking tools to make strategic & tactical recommendations
  • Benchmark, measure & analyze results of other social marketing initiatives
  • Monitor social marketing performance relative to budget & forecast & keep management informed
  • Ensure all possible/applicable social & SEO best practices are being leveraged at all times; & monitor rankings, traffic & sales gains associated with organic optimization
  • Identify & report on key performance indicators and opportunities for improvement on a regular

Job Requirements

Key Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years experience managing / coordinating social media marketing
  • Fashion industry related experience an asset
  • Strong design sense with expertise in Photoshop & Illustrator preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Search Engine Marketing (SEO / SEM)
  • Excellent organizational skills & ability to manage multiple priorities & deadlines
  • Positive attitude, strong attention to detail & strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as an integral part of a team as well as independently with minimal supervision 

Education: Degree / Diploma in related field or equivalent education & experience
